Directions to the Temple in Winston Salem, N.C QUALIFICATIONS Any Master Mason, who is in good standing of a regular Blue or Symbolic Lodge, and who has resided for at least six months in this jurisdiction, is, if otherwise worthy, eligible to receive the Scottish Rite Degrees. It is not required that the Blue Lodge membership be in North Carolina. He need not be a qualified voter. Forfeiture of rights as a Master Mason carries with it the forfeiture of all rights in the Scottish Rite ipso facto PETITIONS All applications must bear the recommendations of two Scottish Rite Masons, or that of the Master of the applicant’s Blue Lodge, and attested by the Secretary under seal of the Lodge. ADMISSION BY CARD ONLY Members are admitted to the Reunions, and the meetings of’ the Bodies by current membership card only. Card must be presented to the Tiler at the door. This rule is imperative, See Article XVII, Section 27. Statutes of the Supreme Council. 14° RING AND PATENT A Fourteenth Degree Ring will be furnished to each candidate receiving the Fourteenth Degree, and a Thirty-second Degree Patent to each receiving the Thirty-second Degree. The Scottish Rite Journal, Southern Jurisdiction, USA, is Published monthly by the Supreme Council. and is sent free to all Thirty-second Degree Masons of this Jurisdiction. To receive the Scottish Rite Journal regularly you must notify the Secretary of any change in your address, including zip code, who in turn will notify the Scottish Rite Journal. Keeping the Secretary informed of any change in address is important. REGULAR MEETINGS Regular meetings of the Bodies are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m. TO CANDIDATES Please be prompt in reporting to the Director of Class upon arrival. Bring your current Blue Lodge Receipt card. You are required to be present each Saturday at 7:00 a.m., that you may receive the full instructions of the degrees. It is hoped that all may continue with the Class until the close of the Reunion; however, you are at liberty to retire from the class at the conclusion of the work in any of the Bodies and the Degrees in the remaining Bodies can be conferred at subsequent Reunions. TO BRETHREN OF THE RITE All visitors and members are requested to be seated when the work begins, and remain seated until the degree is finished. A good audience encourages those taking part in the work and stimulates interest on the part of the class. |
